Day 15: Cold In Idaho

Cambridge to Riggins, Idaho

82 miles

2,789 feet of climbing

Hello!

Thought I would show you the view from the motel. We rode an extra 15 miles today so that we didn’t have to camp tonight because it’s going to rain tonight and tomorrow, and we have a big climbing day again tomorrow.

It was just a tough day today. I really suffered, maybe for the first time for the first 20 miles. It was cold and rainy, and I just never got in a rhythm. I was actually concerned that I was only going to get to the 20 mile mark where we had second breakfast, but the rest of the day was okay.

I did get really cold again at lunch – I had uncontrollable shaking while I was eating my lunch. But once I was riding again, I was fine. The scenery is beautiful so far in Idaho.

No navel gazing today, just too much going on trying to keep my wits about me and stay warm during a really hard ride. But still absolutely loving it – I wouldn’t want to be anyplace else.

Thanks for tagging along. I hope you’re enjoying the ride – I am as always.

Have a good day!
