Day 5: I Cried

Good evening.

This is actually the end of day six, but I’m recording for day five. Day five got out of hand a little bit. The title of this video should probably be “I cried.” Day five was from Eugene to a place called Dunlap.

In Eugene we stayed with dear friends of mine, Allison and Andy Lewis’s. They put on an unbelievable spread for us and took such a great care of us, and I can’t remember feeling so absolutely loved.

I think the emotions from feeling so loved, and then the emotion wrapped up in the first five days caught up with me. So as I’m riding my bicycle out of Eugene all the way to a town called Springfield, probably an hour, I would just have these bouts of crying. It was quite an emotional experience, and there are a lot of reasons behind it – I have some internal stories to tell about that. These long days allow me to kind of process everything that’s happening.

Anyway, it was a tough day, lots of rain. It’s cold, but beautiful.

I feel like I’m riding really strong, which is a relief. But both the guys with me are having a tough time.

But you know, I love this. You’ll see in some of the pictures of me, I’m soaking wet and it’s pouring rain but I’m still really enjoying it.

I hope you’re enjoying following along.
